Life’s Decisions

Cancer alternative therapyMy friend Sarah Bellin is making a movie. It will be inspiring and quiet and beautiful. It is a story about life’s decisions. Sarah’s mother was diagnosed with advanced cancer last year and she chose alternative treatment. A very courageous choice on many different levels. The movie is about the choice. It is not a story about western vs. alternative medicine, but one about the dilemma, the pressure to do what everyone expects, or not, and the health care system supporting one’s choice, or not.

Three weeks ago, another friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery, she met with her oncologist. That thought scared me more than the surgery.  I have been wondering ever since what I would do. Me of the “I have not even taken an aspirin in 15 years” and “I can’t think of anything more terrifying than a needle” kind. I honestly don’t know.  It must be one of the toughest decisions to make. You may only have one chance.

Anyhow, the movie is being financed through RocketHub and has raised a lot of money already, but is still away from its goal.  It is called “Facing Life’s Decisions: the Search for Truth in Alternative Medicine.”  The funding deadline is May 20.  Watch the video and let me know what you think?

Have a nice weekend!
